Go Ballz Deep at Boathouse 19! And by Ballz Deep we mean 7 Seas Brewing's Double IPA, which will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Tacoma restaurant (9001 S. 19th St., Tacoma). The Gig Harbor brewery will pour tastes, hand out swag and say "Ballz" over and over.


Beginning Jan. 2 through the end of March, The Melting Pot (2121 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) serves a "skinny" experience with a three-course experience that nixes those pesky calories while not skimping on the flavor. Along with this promotion you can enjoy concoctions featuring Pitbull's Voli Light Vodka. Sip on a Fresh Berry Fizz, Mango Coconut Marteenie, Crisp Citrus Crush or a Pretty in Pop and enter a raffle to score a trip to Miami to hang with Pitbull at a private fondue party. Get in on the party at 253.535.3939.


What do Barry Manilow and Olympic Gold Medalists have in common? They are performing together Jan. 11 at the Kent ShoWare Center. To celebrate Salty's at Redondo (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) serves a "Love on Ice" dining special featuring three exquisite courses before the show. Dinner is $95 and begins at 4:30 p.m. allowing diners ample time preshow to enjoy date night and sing "Copacabana" between nibbles.
