As a wealthy widower's new bride who faces a chilly reception at his huge estate, Lily James brings her usual persona of sweet and somewhat naive charm. This adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier novel is passably entertaining as a glossy, campy thriller, but if you're going to watch a movie titled Rebecca, might I humbly suggest you watch the 1940 Hitchcock original and call it a night. - Two and a half stars
