This Saturday a historic rally of 1,000 Black Men will take place at People's Park on Hilltop Tacoma. Inspired by a general void in consistent leadership, the need for empowerment and the general crisis of community apathy - the rally will include guest speakers and will be hosted by former Tacoma Poet Laureate Antonio Edwards. The rally will address issues of education, leadership and ways to improve the conditions in our communities.
[People's Park, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Ninth Street, Tacoma]

Thanks for reporting this event. We must continue to communicate the many efforts that go one in these communities. If it is not reported, it is implied that it isn't happening. You'll get ridiculous responses from people like "Well I didn't hear about it in the news." We must fight this propaganda.
