It's hard to call yourself a kayaker if you don't have any kayaking skills. Furthermore, it's hard to obtain many kayaking skills without actually kayaking - which, if you're not already a kayaker, can be challenging. That's the problem. Luckily, the Eastside Pool in East Tacoma has you covered. From 8:30-10 a.m. on Saturday (and again March 20 and April 3) the Eastside Pool will host "Indoor Kayak Skills Practice" - a chance for improving kayakers to hone their craft in the safe and comfy confines of a chlorinated pool.
PREDICTION: Yes, the confines of the Eastside Pool will indeed be safe and comfy - unless a little toddler pee harshes your safe and comfy mellow.
