Poor Comet. Santa can't imagine why she ever thought things with Donner would last. I mean, he's always had his eye on a certain Artic Puffin - it was just a matter of time. The book Pleasure as a Higher Calling may not fix her broken heart, but she's sure to take some pointers from Tacoma author Savannah Aries.

Don't tell me you're surprised my reindeer can read. They freakin' fly!

According to Aries and her book Pleasure as a Higher Calling, If you're a single woman of a certain age, a healthy sense of humor and adventure is required to "stay in the game" of Love.

In this first collection of intimate short stories, Aries invites us into her world and shares her thoughts and feelings about the lusty new lease on life she discovers when she decides to wake up.

From the first story of becoming an inadvertent cougar, to her humorous travels in the virtual online dating world of love and sexuality, and her inventive ways of coping with the annoyances of actual air travel, Aries entertains with both the details of her amorous encounters and the unique philosophy she has come to embrace.

Know of someone who can relate? You? Amazon is selling the book for $7.99 here.

Aries has a Facebook page too.

I had simply planned to muse about Life and how best to live it.
The pursuit of PLEASURE is never far from my musings!

Man On Fire said on Dec. 19, 2011 at 2:35pm

Having read some of this book, I can only say...
Need help to put these flames out!!!
Well, well, well. Who would guess that a short story could start a fire here?
Whew!

Savannah's subtle, accurate and yet profound beginning discussion of older men disarms one for what comes after that.

Her scintillating sensual recounting of close encounters of a sultry sort, surpass one's imagination, and
provided enough adrenaline coursing through my veins to power a small city.

You will want to be sure that you read her stories while on flameproof furniture.

Along with giving me distinctly tingly feelings every time I read certain parts of each chapter, this book is actually pretty darned funny. It's as much about the ways that we experience sex as the wonder of the acts themselves, and of course that's as profound and ridiculous as we are.

Savannah, I'd dearly love to buy you a drink sometime. When does your book tour start?

Holy Orgasms, Batman! This isn't your grandma's romance novel! Genuine thought went into the characters, the situations, the relationships, and yes...the sex. Keep it going Savannah. We need something to read that's more than 140 characters and has actual emotional depth to it!

Back in the day.....I was cougar bait. And man, it was bellisimo!
Ms. Aries' protagonist is some kind of wonderful. Carpe diem!
