SANTA SAYS >>>>
This year, you can recapture with your own two hands what the holidays are really about. All it takes is a little effort, a little inspiration, and, yes, just a little daring. People will say you're doing that simple-living thing, getting back to basics. And you will make it look good, too.
Instead of spending hundreds to deck the halls, register for Tacoma Art Place's Holiday Wreath and Swag Making class from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. And believe Santa when he says to register.
Last year 63 people took this class. This year, TAP is capping it at 50.
TAP will supply the fresh cedar, fir, holly and all the supplies to decorate your wreath.
The cost is $15, or $25 for a family - plus a $10 Day Pass if you're not a member of TAP.
[Tacoma Art Place, Saturday, Nov. 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., $15-$25, plus $10 Day Pass for non-members, 1116 S. 11th St., Tacoma, RSVP at 253.238.1006]
