Gina Carano, a retired mixed martial arts fighter with amazing physical agility, stars as the employee of a shadowy "special contractor" that performs black ops for hire. Assigned to free a Chinese hostage in Barcelona, she finds herself at the center of a web of deceit, in a tale of betrayal so-starring Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Bill Paxton, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas and Michael Douglas. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, it makes no apology for being a well-crafted genre thriller. - Three stars
