El Gaucho is the most picture-perfect bar imaginable for adults - complete with a nightly piano lounge, men in suits, divorcées, cigar smokers (well, that's on hold right now) and one of the best bar menus in town, served until 1 a.m. El Gaucho also has impressive adult beverages of the scotch and martini varieties and a delightful combination of the two: the Smokey Martini featuring Stolichnaya Elit Vodka with a drop of Laphroaig 30-year-old scotch ($35) in a perfectly chilled martini glass. Our preferred night is Thursday when Silvia Tapia is behind the bar, and there are more divorcées.
