There arrrre three kinds of people in the world: dem who steal food, dem who enjoy food, and dem who cook it. Me walks the first camp plank: Me the kind of pirate who can walk in the same restaurant 10 times and orderrr the same ting. In the last camp ye find the adventurous lot — "foodies" who regard cookin’ the same way me mates explore the seas. Dem charge fearlessly into the great unknown and hope to escape with riches.
This last lot will no doubt enterrr the Puyalllup Fair’s food contests: Great American Spam Championship, C&H Sugar Parent-Child Bar Cookie Contest, Puyallup Fair Berry Pie Contest, scone contest, jam and jelly contest, and many more. Eat 101
Primo Grill in Tacoma offers a Northwest Summer Barrrbecue cooking class July 12 from 2-4 p.m. The cost is $65, which includes recipes and instruction, lunch with a glass of wine, tax and gratuity. Call Jacqueline at 253.383.7000 to reserrrve.
