  • Fish Tale Brewhouse presents Shellfish Slurp, a night of seafood dishes from this Olympia restaurant, Sunday, May 18 from 5-8 p.m. Admission is $45 in advance at 360.754.2744. Fish Tale is at 515 Jefferson St. S.E. in Olympia.
  • The Tacoma Symphony Orchestra will host a Celebrity Chefs Showcase, an evening of culinary delights, fine wine and a bit of classical tunes, Thursday, May 29 at Clover Park Technical College. The chefs will be Dan Hutchinson of Brix 25, Aaron Valimont of Pacific Grill, Joel Mertens of Asado/Masa, and Matt Brandsey of Sea Grill. The price tag is $150 per person.   • Bayview School of Cooking has time for a 20 Minute Seafood Meals class Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. The cost is $45. You may register at 360.754.1448.

  • Braiden Rex-Johnson, cookbook author and food-wine pairing columnist from Wine Press Northwest, teams up with chef Dianna K. Allerges to recreate Rex-Johnson’s recipes and pair them with regional wines Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. The cost is $75. To register, call 360.754.1448.
