Saturday, the Weekly Volcano attended the reception for Mindy Barker’s art show “ReMix” at the Black Water Café.  Family, friends, scenesters, and art enthusiasts commanded the café previously occupied by many young men in hoodies pounding away on their laptops, who eventually disappeared into the cold night. Besides her hand painted and magnetized recycled compact disc mini-art (“ReMix”), many of her mixed media pieces — acrylic, ink, pencil, and photographs — joined the show. Check it out.
