Caught DJ Jimmy Sparkles spinning Thursday night

You’ve seen him around, without a doubt — spinning every Thursday night at The Monsoon Room, or maybe behind the drum kit at The Scuzztones show, or possibly at The Spar in Old Town Tacoma — looking all Keith Moon-ish. He’s DJ Jimmy Sparkles, and he’s one cool cat.
The Weekly Volcano let its freak flag fly before Sparkles’ Partridge Family/Romeo Void/garage rock/lounge combo last Thursday, dancing and sipping Lavender L’Mour drinkies.
Sparkles donned a jacket given to him by a relative who is now doing time for, as Sparkles put it, “Fashion Fraud.”
The shirt came from Jordan Tart of Pure Clothing in Tacoma.
His pants actually belong to his girlfriend, Tracy Marie (Tracy Marie’s Day Spa & Gift Gallery in the Middle Floor Merchants, 253.383.7782). We know who wears the pants in that relationship.
He scored his canary yellow socks from a crack addict with a trunk full of stuff around 24th and Pacific Avenue. They fit snugly inside his black-and-white checkered Vans.
