Tacoma’s 100th Monkey parties have been held in many varied places over the years — industrial, creative, organic, eclectic, inspiring. The final Monkey party of 2007 was held at Tacoma Art Museum.

Lisa Ikeda planned a good party with local R&B group Malcolm Clark Band providing the music. Original 100th Monkey party creator and organizer Lynn Di Nino shook a tail feather to the beat with friends and other folks. Most mobbed the gigantic hors d’oeuvre spread in the adjacent room and circled the wine table like thirsty vultures. As usual, the limited Monkey tiles went quickly. Multi-talented artist Jennevieve Schlemmer’s small bronze colored monkey creations were a coveted item and a sweet hit.
