Why marry for money when you can land someone with a foreign passport? Just imagine: summer yachting in St. Tropez, a ski chateau in Gstaad ... . Sure beats the schlep to Ocean Shores or Lake Chelan, right?Thought you might agree.
So head to the Eagles Hall Friday for DJ/Rupture and Filastine’s South African breaks, North African trance, Middle Eastern textures and some good ol’ U.S. of R&B rhythms. All that worldliness has to attract the jet-set crowd.
OK, a stretch.
DJ/Rupture hails from deep Brooklyn and spins globe-trotting party rock.
Seattle resident Filastine mixes jungle, trip hop and breakbeats with ethnic instrumentals, especially Indian textures.
